School Nutrition Pilot Program

Urgent action is needed to address childhood poverty and hunger in BC and food banks play a critical role in this work. One of the food bank statistics that has always stood out is that 1 in 3 clients is a child. How do we get that to 1 in 4, 1 in 5, 1 in 10?

Through the provision of adequate, nutritious food for kids in schools, it is our hope that we can start to see a reduction in the number of families and children who rely on food bank services, and in the process, feed kids for learning and reduce the strain on our network. More details of this project will be available closer to the pilots being launched in Fall 2023.
